Hands of Opportunity V

limited edition fine art photography

live

Hey everyone,

This is Chloe with Chloe Pitterson Photography, and we are doing the live today on the Hands of Opportunity series. Thanks for joining in. Today we are doing a live on one of my pieces, a fine art photography, limited edition print from the Hands of Opportunity series. The piece that we're going to talk about today is “Hands of Opportunity V”.

All right, so what inspired this collection?

This collection is about taking the opportunities that are presented to us in our everyday lives and creating our lives based off of our vision. The series explores the theme of opportunity and using the resources that we have available to us to fulfill our passions and our goals. So the hands and the series symbolizes creation because with our hands, we physically create things and like our hands with our thoughts, we can create our world and reality. The hands symbolize our power to create what we want in this lifetime. In combination with our vision and our imagination, we realize the power that we hold to create the life, moments, things, and circumstances that we want in our lives.

The process of creating this image of the story behind this particular image.

This photograph is a mini composite done by replicating my hands to create the shape. For this series, I spoke about it in a previous live, I painted my hands with gold paint that I finally was able to find. I positioned them in, one way like this (demonstrates hand position in video), right and then took the photos. Then I replicated it in Photoshop and made it very symmetrical and had to tweak a little bit of things. They didn't really come out touching to be honest and after tweaking a little bit of everything and all that jazz in Photoshop, not too much, but a little bit, we got this final image that I really like. It's very symmetrical.  I love the shape of it. I'm gonna talk about that the next slide.

So Yeah, what I love about this piece:

This piece is one of my favorites from almost all of my works. I just feel like the shape, it’s so powerful. It reminds me of some sort of like portal, I like how the hands come together. There's this kind of like eye shape, as if you can see into your vision, like see into what it is you want. And just you know, create. I grew up watching the Power Rangers. So just looking at this now kind of gives me this feeling of some kind of like power morphing symbol. You know what I'm talking about? That's awesome.

What sizes are available?

This particular fine art photo is limited edition as all my pieces are and it is square. This piece comes in two sizes, 30” by 30” is the first size. It's an addition of 25 and that's for $2470. Then there's a larger size, which is 40” by 40”. So it's a really nice, huge print. That's in an edition of 10 and you can get that piece at a price of $4400.

If you are interested in owning a limited edition, fine art print of your own, how can you do that?

If you're watching this live now there is going to be a link in my bio that you can click on and it's going to take you right there. You're going to see more about the piece. You're going to be able to use some of the features on my website to see how this piece looks in different rooms, and you can see how it would look in your space with some of the features that have been added recently, which is pretty cool. Otherwise you can go to chloepitterson.com, go to the shop art tab located up top, and you can browse the entire hands of opportunity collection and this piece as well.

If anyone has any questions about this piece or this collection, the Hands of Opportunity series, please feel free to just comment below and I will answer them . All right, well, seems that we don't have any questions, which is completely fine. If you do have any questions about this in the future, you can always DM me. I'm going to be posting this so you can leave your questions underneath the video area.

(Question is then asked) “Any particular reason why you choose gold?”

Yeah. I feel like gold really symbolizes  a really rich substance, right? So when you're creating something, it's a reminder to put the best of yourself in there and to also have the best vision that you can think of for yourself. Like go for the best for yourself, don't limit anything. Nothing is not within your reach to obtain. So always go for the best when you're going to create something for yourself. That's a really good question, noone’s ever asked that one before. Thank you.

All right, are there any more questions? All right. Well, everyone, thank you for joining me and watching this live. I think for next week, I'm just going to record the video beforehand and then maybe hop on live to announce it, or I don't know. I'm gonna see how it goes with lives. I'm gonna alternate between doing lives and posting videos and seeing what that response is like. If you do like the lives, let me know. Otherwise I'm still making videos and you can always DM me or message me and I will answer your questions. All right, everyone have a beautiful, beautiful day.

(incoming comment) “Thank you for sharing. I love your work.”

Thank you so much. That really means a lot to me. I really appreciate that. All right guys. Bye.
