There are so many wonderful things I can say about this human named Brandon. The most important one being that I love him hahah. Brandon an I have worked on many photography projects before,: personal, for my art series and professionally. For this shoot, Brandon was working on his website and wanted to get corporate headshots done to represent himself in a professional manner.

We met beforehand to discuss exactly how it was that Brandon wanted to be photographed and the attitude/feel he wanted to be brought out in the photographs. It’s always fun to work with Brandon. And I really loved how the photos came out. Most of the photographs were pretty straight forward with a series of outfit changes, but really clean and him as the focus. The last four images in the series are me adding just a little more pop with a bit of creative editing.

I asked Brandon some questions so that you can get to know a bit more about him and what his experience was like working with me, here is what he had to say:

1. What’s your name and how old are you?

Brandon Faerber and I am 32.

2. Where are you from and where do you live?

I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri, but have been living in New York for 13 years.

3. What do you do for work?

For work, I manage a menswear brand. My role mixes branding, marketing, project management, and some production. I also consult providing services in creative marketing, brand management, ecom development/strategy, and UX.

4. What inspired you to book a photoshoot/ work with Chloe’?

I am beginning to look into switching jobs and thought updating my online profiles/materials would be a good way to get started and reflect who I am today. I have worked with Chloe before and above all appreciate her attitude and energy that she brings to a shoot. Chloe understands the technicalities to photography—light, set up, posing, etc.—but she makes every shoot comfortable, easy, and fun. I don’t feel self- conscious while working with Chloe and I appreciate the ideas she brings to a shoot. I knew I’d be able to achieve exactly what I wanted working with Chloe.

5. What was your experience like?

My experience with Chloe was great all the way from inquiry to receiving images. The total process was very fast, organized, and I am extremely happy with my images. Working in production, I especially appreciate Chloe’s efficiency and organization. She is present all parts of the shoot (planning, shoot, post). She takes the time to understand what you’re looking to capture, puts in the work to determining how best to achieve that, shows up committed to the plan, and involves you in selection & editing to make sure you are happy with the images you receive. All on a super tight, fast timeline. Our shoot was fun and actually turned my whole week around. …work had been pretty busy and I wasn’t feeling great. Meeting with Chloe gave me a boost of energy and more confidence.

6. What was your favorite photograph(s) from your shoot?

I have several favorite images from my shoot with Chloe. We were able to achieve exactly what I was looking for and then we expanded on that and I have additional images I can use elsewhere. If I had to choose just one favorite I think I would select the shear button up image with my hair down.

7. What would you tell someone who is looking to book a shoot with Chloe’?

I would strongly recommend anyone looking for professional headshots, corporate headshots, and general portraits to work with Chloe. So much of our world is digital and having professional images standout and give you the opportunity to present yourself in a creative way. Chloe’s rates are comparable and affordable to other photographers and her quality and turn around are superb. You will feel comfortable working with Chloe and she’ll help you across the entire process.
