When You Squeeze an Orange

 When You Squeeze An Orange

"When you squeeze an orange you get what's inside of it, no matter who squeezes it. When someone squeezes you, they get what's inside you."

- Dr. Wayne Dyer

The above quote inspired me to create this fine art photographic series. Many times we think that we are embodying a state until we get "squeezed" (irritated/annoyed/pushed/fatigued/etc.) and what comes out of that "squeeze" during the current facade we show to the world, reveals what we have inside us. It reveals what lies beneath the pretense of joy and the mask of "everything is good". A lot of times what comes out is underlying anger, pain, hurt, resentment, fear.

This series is important because I created this series to remind us to work on the inside, to go to the actual issues that we are facing, and then go underneath the issues we are facing to the personal blocks we put in front of our selves. And then to work to let go of the those imaginary blocks. To dive deep into what our true needs are in order to address and heal them so we grow as individuals and free our selves from facades. Living authentically.
